my story

Hi! I’m Scott, a front-end and (soon-to-be) full-stack developer with a lifelong love for technology and creativity.

As a kid, I was endlessly curious — always building, drawing, or trying to turn Lego into something it definitely wasn’t designed to be. My parents still joke that I was destined to make things (preferably ones that light up or have buttons). But somewhere along the way, that creative spark got buried under the routine of day jobs and the so-called “real world.”

In 2007, I moved from London to Sweden after meeting my now wife, Emelie — and immediately fell in love with both her and my new home. Despite being only a two-hour flight away, the culture shock was real. But over time, Sweden became home in every sense of the word — calm, inspiring, and full of the kind of balance I didn’t know I needed.

Fast forward to 2024: after being made redundant from a job I truly enjoyed, I faced a choice — continue in comfortable but uncreative roles, or finally take the leap into something I’d always dreamed of. So, at 37, I decided to study web development — confronting my old impostor syndrome head-on and reigniting the creative spark that started all those years ago with Lego and sketchpads.

Now, I’m blending years of IT experience with fresh creative energy to build clean, user-focused, and meaningful digital experiences. My goal is simple: to make technology feel more human — beautiful, intuitive, and just a little bit fun.

When I’m not coding, I enjoy exercising and training — an area I hope to develop practical, everyday tools for that can be used (and loved) by other like-minded tech and fitness enthusiasts. Most importantly, I love spending time with my beautiful three children, who never fail to remind me how creativity and curiosity start — and thrive — at home.

If I sound like the type of person you’d like working as part of your team, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’m currently searching for internship (LIA) opportunities — and I’d love to hear from you.
